My girlfriend has had multiple reactions to shrimp that have involved cramping, diarrhea, and vomiting, but there have never been any hives, redness, or swelling. I've heard mixed opinions on whether or not this can negate allergic reaction as a potential cause of her symptoms. if there are no hives, swelling or redness, is it definitely not an allergic reaction to shellfish?
they can do either blood tests and/or the skin-prick test (one of the most accurate forms of allergy testing) for shrimp and other shellfish
